Safety Policy

Safety is our first operating principle

Apex African Gas operates on the principle that no production target, delivery schedule or commercial commitment justifies compromising the safety of our people, our customers or the communities in which we work. Every activity on our site — from air separation and cylinder filling to loading, transport and customer-site delivery — is governed by written procedures, risk assessments and trained personnel.

Cylinders are inspected, colour-coded and pressure-tested to industry standards before they leave the plant. Our drivers and plant operators are trained in the handling of compressed and cryogenic gases, in emergency response, and in the specific hazards of each product they carry. Personal protective equipment is mandatory in all operational areas and is provided by the company.

Safety performance is reviewed continuously through our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, with incidents, near-misses and customer feedback tracked and acted upon. We work closely with our customers to ensure that gases are stored, connected and used safely on their sites, and we support this with training, site visits and material safety data sheets for every product we supply.
